Our Story
Prior to co-founding Back Nine Nurses, we met as Wellness Nurses at an award-winning Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. Our friendship was easily forged thanks to our many similarities including our nursing profession, our mutual dedication to helping seniors, our strong work ethic, our children at the same school (Go Lions!), and our ties to golf, Massachusetts, and Naples, FL thanks to our baby boomer parents!
Throughout our nursing careers, we have seen the difficulties that seniors and families face before, during, and after healthcare transitions. We have felt an overwhelming sense of empathy during these times, as transitions in care can be stressful, confusing, and exhausting for the entire family. We realized in these moments, that our knowledge as experienced Assisted Living and Memory Care Nurses could be of great benefit as families strive to make informed decisions while considering the many factors involved with choosing an Assisted Living Community.
We are pleased to say that we have also been witness to the joy that seniors experience when they settle into the “right” Community that best suits their individual needs, goals, and preferences. We have relished seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of residents as they join new friends for meals, adjust successfully to a new home, and feel the sense of comfort that comes from knowing that help and “family” are never far away in the Assisted Living Community environment.
Throughout our nursing careers, we have seen the difficulties that seniors and families face before, during, and after healthcare transitions.
We co-founded Back Nine Nurses in response to the growing need for trusted, personalized, and compassionate navigation for seniors and families interested in exploring Assisted Living Communities. We are passionate and dedicated to our mission of “Helping Seniors Live Well on the Back Nine of Life.”
